Premier League clubs have until 11pm tonight to finalise their squads for the first half of the season and there is still plenty of business still to be done. Chelsea are trying to bring in a new centre-back and are in talks with Sevilla for Jules Kounde.
The Blues have also been negotiating with Atletico Madrid for midfielder Saul Niguez after he was offered to a host of clubs – and according to reports, the midfielder is on his way to London to sign a loan deal.
Manchester United are looking for a new right-back with Diogo Dalot looking to be heading to Borussia Dortmund. The Red Devils want to bring Kieran Trippier back to the UK from Atletico.
Arsenal have made a disastrous start to the campaign as they are cemented to the foot of the table having not scored a single goal in their opening three matches.
Mikel Arteta’s side are crying out for a creative midfielder – but will Edu sanction a move before the window shuts?

6.30pm: Spurs sign Emerson Royal
Tottenham have kickstarted their deadline day business with a deal for Barcelona’s Emerson Royal, the north London club have announced.
The Brazilian, 22, has signed for Nuno Espirito Santo’s team in a deal which could reach £25.7m as they look to adapt to the Portuguese boss’ style of play.
However, the club face a race to sell Serge Aurier in a bid to reduce the numberes in their defensive department.
6.20pm: Mbappe deal OFF – after PSG reject £188.9m bid for the Frenchman
Amazing, isn’t it? Kylian Mbappe has been linked with a move to Real Madrid all summer – and even after a bid of £188.9m was made, the French club turned it down, says Kaveh Solhekol.
This would have made Mbappe the second and third-most expensive footballer in the world, after Neymar in first – but astonishingly PSG have rejected the offer.
This leaves Mbappe free to leave PSG for Madrid next summer – as he can agree a pre-contract agreement in January with Los Blancos.
6.15pm: Saul nearing Chelsea move
Wow, wow, wow! Chelsea are finally getting their midfield maestro in Saul, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Atletico midfielder has been a key part of the Spanish champions’ midfield for half a decade, but will now try his trade at the European champions.
The Blues will reportedly pay Diego Simeone’s men a fee of £4.3m (€5m) for the Spaniard, with Saul on his way to London.
6.05pm: Liverpool loan out youngster Williams alongside new contract
Liverpool starlet Rhys Williams has joined Swansea City on a season-long loan – and signed a new five-year deal in the process.
The centre-back, 20, was thrown into the deep end for the Reds last season following the injury crisis that engulfed the Merseyside club.
And, after some stellar performances, the Preston-born defender has been loaned out to Wales after being given reassurances about his long-term future.
6.00pm: Leicester land Lookman loan
Leicester have confirmed the loan signing of RB Leipzig’s Ademola Lookman, the club have confirmed.
And with Leicester needing a winger, they have acted quickly to secure the signature of the London-born speedster.
Eduardo Camavinga has joined Real Madrid on a six-year deal
6.00pm: Celtic sign Greek striker Giorgos Giakoumakis
Celtic have hit double figures in their transfer incomings this summer, with talisman Giorgos Giakoumakis joining the club.
The top scorer in the Dutch Eredivisie last season, Giakoumakis joins the Hoops on a five-year deal for a fee of around £2.5million.
With Odsonne Edouard likely to be leaving the club for Crystal Palace before the deadline ends, Celtic have moved quickly for his replacement.
5.55pm: Tomiyasu to sign four-year contract at Arsenal
Arsenal’s impending transfer deadline day signing Takehiro Tomiyasu will sign a four-year contract with the option of a fifth, according to Sky.
The Bologna defender will sign for the Gunners for a fee of just over £15m before the deadline, after considerable interest from Tottenham earlier in the window.
And, at the age of just 22, it is clear that Arsenal are focusing on youth this summer – alongside the signings of Ben White, Aaron Ramsdale and Martin Odegaard.
5.45pm: Newcastle make offer for Boubacar Kamara
Steve Bruce’s Newcastle have made a loan-to-buy offer for Marseille starlet Boubacar Kamara, according to Loic Tanzi.
The Magpies have reportedly offered a £2.15m (€2.5m) loan offer for the Frenchman, with an option to buy for £12.88m (€15m) at the end of the season.
The 21-year-old has already made 121 appearances for Les Olympiens, scoring three goals in the process.
5.35pm: Real Madrid announce the signing of Camavinga
Real Madrid have announced the signing of Rennes prodigu Eduardo Camavinga on a six-year deal.
The midfielder, 18, was arguably the most saught after young midfielder in the world prior to his move to the Bernabeu.
Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain were interested in the youngster, however he had chosen the Spanish capital.
5.30pm: Brighton sign Sima
Brighton have announced the signing of Slavia Prague striker Abdallah Sima for an undisclosed fee.
The striker, 20, has made 21 league appearances for the side from the Czech capital, scoring 11 league goals in the process.
He will be loaned straight out to Stoke City as a result of the transfer.
5.25pm: Maitland-Niles set to stay at Arsenal
Ainsley Maitland-Niles looks as though he will remain in north London, according to the Mirror.
The versatile player seemed to be on his way out of The Emirates, with a move to Everton supposedly on the cards.
However, after talks with Mikel Arteta, the 24-year-old will remain at the Emirates for the time being.
5.20pm: Burnley offered chance to sign Juventus midfielder McKennie
What on earth is happening at Turf Moor recently?!
After being linked with Ross Barkley (3.45pm), signing Connor Roberts (1.45pm) and breaking their transfer record for Maxwel Cornet on Sunday, the Clarets have reportedly been offered Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie.
Sky’s Kaveh Solhekol suggests the Clarets’ have offered a loan deal for the American star, however it is understood that Juventus would be unlikely to accept that deal.
5.15pm: Dani Olmo has ‘no chance’ of moving to Barcelona
Barcelona have been let down in their pursuit of Spanish midfielder Dani Olmo after his club RB Leipzig announced he was not for sale, says Fabrizio Romano.
The ex-Barcelona playmaker, 23, will not be leaving the Red Bull Arena as the German side look to keep hold of one of their main assets.
Olmo left the famous La Masia academy in 2014 for first-team opportunities at Dinamo Zagreb – and will be made to wait longer for his return to the Catalan club.
5.10pm: Housssem Auoar set to stay at Lyon
Arsenal and Tottenham’s pursuit of Lyon’s Houssem Aouar looks set to drag on to the next transfer window, according to David Ornstein.
The midfielder, 23, has been linked with a move to north London in recent years, but appears set to stay at the Groupama Stadium.
That isn’t to say a move won’t happen in the future for the one-time capped Frenchman – with only two years left on his contract, a move in the next year could be on the cards.

5pm: PSG set to win chase for Mendes
Paris Saint-Germain have seemingly won the race to sign Sporting Lisbon left-back Nuno Mendes.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Mendes is closing in on a move to PSG after agreeing personal terms with the Ligue 1 giants.
Manchester City were interested, but will not meet Sporting’s £34.3m valuation. PSG’s stellar transfer window looks set to continue.
4.50pm: Reiss Nelson leaves Arsenal on loan
Feyenoord has announced the loan signing of Arsenal attacking midfielder Reiss Nelson, who has extended his contract at the Emirates Stadium until 2023.
It’s Nelson’s second loan stint away from Arsenal are spending the 2018/19 season at Hoffenheim.
4.40pm: Griezmann’s Atletico return on the cards
Antoine Griezmann could re-join Atletico Madrid from Barcelona before the summer transfer deadline.
According to L’Equipe, via GFFN, Griezmann’s Atletico return is moving ‘very fast’ with talks over a £42.9m (€50m) transfer ongoing.
Barcelona are also willing to entertain a loan with an option to buy, if Los Rojiblancos can’t afford the Frenchman this summer.
4.30pm: Project CR7 in full flow?
With Daniel James now a Leeds United player, the number 21 shirt is now free at Manchester United.
Interestingly, Edinson Cavani wears that shirt for Uruguay and could inherit it for the remainder of the season at Old Trafford.
If he’s allowed to do so, it would free up the iconic number seven shirt for its previous owner, Cristiano Ronaldo.
4.20pm: James joins Leeds from Man Utd
Leeds United have completed the signing of Manchester United winger Daniel James on a permanent deal.
James has put pen to paper on a five-year contract at Elland Road in a deal worth an initial £24m.
Almost three years after the 23-year-old’s deadline day move to Leeds fell through, he has finally sealed his move to West Yorkshire.
4.10pm: Spartak Moscow confirm Kral exit amid West Ham links
Spartak Moscow’s general director has confirmed that midfielder Alex Kral is leaving the club, amid links to West Ham United.
He said: “Alex Kral is leaving. We had different options for him. We agreed on all terms with West Ham. It will be a paid loan with a mandatory purchase option.”
Express Sport’s Ryan Taylor reports that West Ham are closing in on Kral on a loan move with an option to buy.
4pm: PSG and Man City in Mendes talks
Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City have received late hope in their interest in Sporting Lisbon left-back Nuno Mendes.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Sporting are open to selling Mendes in the closing hours of deadline day.
The Portugal international’s agent Miguel Pinho has contacted PSG and Man City in the last few minutes over a potential deal.
3.45pm: Burnley consider late Barkley pursuit
Burnley are considering a last-ditch move for Chelsea outcast Ross Barkley, according to Express Sport’s Ryan Taylor.
Chelsea want to offload the midfielder, but a deal is difficult to see unfolding at this stage and nothing is concrete.
Any move would be a loan, with Barkley likely to be open to the idea after being stripped of his number eight shirt earlier this summer.
3.30pm: Chelsea optimistic over Saul deal
Perhaps there’s life in Chelsea’s deadline day yet…
The Athletic report that Chelsea are actively working on signing Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez in the closing hours of the summer transfer window.
Negotiations are ongoing over a potential loan with an option to buy for the 26-year-old, with all parties optimistic of the deal going through.
Eduardo Camavinga snubbed Man Utd and PSG for Real Madrid.
3.15pm: Boateng set to join Lyon

Jerome Boateng, who left Bayern Munich as a free agent earlier this year, is set to join Lyon imminently.
The 32-year-old has agreed a contract and completed his Lyon medical earlier this afternoon.
3pm: Chelsea prospect Andorin to leave for Russia
Chelsea attacking midfielder Tino Anjorin is on his way to Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow, according to Sky Sports.
Anjorin is set for a medical ahead of a loan move, but Lokomotiv have an obligation to buy the 19-year-old for £17m.
Chelsea have ensured they will have a chance to re-sign the teenage attacker by including a buy-back clause worth £40m.
2.45pm: Alexandre Lacazette eyeing Arsenal exit
Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette is planning to leave the club on a free transfer next year.
According to football.london, Lacazette isn’t considering extending his Arsenal contract, which expires at the end of the season.
Mikel Arteta could need to prioritise a new striker next summer, with Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s futures unclear.
2.30pm: Camavinga Real Madrid-bound
Eduardo Camavinga will become a Real Madrid player today after signing his contract, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Real Madrid and Rennes signed the paperwork last night ahead of the 18-year-old midfielder’s move worth £26.6m (€31m) plus add-ons.
Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United have also been linked with Camavinga in recent months, but Real is his dream destination.
2.25pm: James to Leeds edging closer
Daniel James is edging ever closer to switching Manchester United for Leeds United in an initial £24m deal on transfer deadline day.
The 23-year-old has arrived at Elland Road after completing the second part of his medical at the club today.
He will likely now be taking pictures with the Leeds shirt and answering questions from club media before the deal is announced tonight.
2.15pm: Berahino back in English football

BBC Sport’s Simon Stone reports Berahino is very close to joining Sheffield Wednesday from Zulte Waregem.
The 28-year-old knows Wednesday manager Darren Moore from his time at West Bromwich Albion, where he earned mass plaudits before his 2017 exit.
2pm: Villa looking to offload Guilbert
Aston Villa are in talks with several European clubs over right-back Frederic Guilbert.
Sky Sports report Villa want to offload the Frenchman on loan, with Matty Cash firmly Dean Smith’s first-choice option.
Strasbourg, where Guilbert spent the second half of last season on loan, are one of the clubs interested in Guilbert.
1.50pm: Arsenal trio to leave on loan
Arsenal are expecting three players to leave on loan today, Express Sport’s Ryan Taylor understands.
Reiss Nelson will join Feyenoord, Hector Bellerin has taken a pay-cut to join Real Betis and goalkeeper Runar Alex Runarsson is heading to Belgian side OH Leuven.
The Gunners are still negotiating the finer details of the deal that will see them sign Takehiro Tomiyasu from Bologna.
1.50pm: Sima to join Stoke on loan after Brighton move
Brighton are set to loan Abdallah Sima to Stoke City following the completion of his £7m transfer from Slavia Prague.
The young Senegalese forward starred in last season’s Europa League and has also attracted interest from Arsenal and West Ham.
He has cost Albion around £7m but will now head to the bet365 Stadium to being his adaptation to English football.

1.45pm: Burnley sign Roberts from Swansea
Burnley have completed the signing of Swansea City right-back Connor Roberts for an undisclosed fee.
The 25-year-old Wales international has signed a four-year deal at Turf Moor to bolster Sean Dyche’s defence further.
He is the Clarets’ fifth summer signing after Maxwel Cornet, Nathan Collins, Wayne Hennessey and Aaron Lennon.
1.30pm: Arsenal not interested in Aouar
Arsenal are not interested in moving for Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar in the closing hours of the summer transfer window.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal are solely focused on securing Takehiro Tomiyasu’s services and offloading Hector Bellerin.
Romano reports there are currently no talks with Lyon for Aouar, so Tomiyasu will likely be the only arrival of the day.
1.25pm: Runarsson nearing Arsenal exit
Arsenal goalkeeper Alex Runarsson is closing in on a temporary departure from the club.
According to Sky Sports, Runarsson is set to sign for Belgian club OH Leuven on a loan deal, with talks at an advanced stage.
After the Gunners’ £30m capture of Aaron Ramsdale, Runarsson is now the club’s third-choice goalkeeper.

12.45pm: Sevilla director says Kounde can leave
Sevilla director of football Monchi has stated that Jules Kounde can leave the club if his release clause is matched before the summer transfer deadline.
Chelsea have been vying for the 22-year-old defender’s signature this summer, but are yet to match Sevilla’s hefty £68.7m (€80m) valuation.
Monchi said: “Kounde can leave before midnight if anybody pays his clause, then we can do nothing. He has the same chance to leave as all his teammates.”
12.35pm: Mbappe to Real Madrid still alive
Real Madrid haven’t given up on signing Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe today, although a deal is looking increasingly unlikely.
According to Sky Sports, there is still a small chance Mbappe will seal his dream move to Real on deadline day.
If Los Blancos fail to sign the French superstar, they will approach him in January to negotiate a pre-contract agreement.
12.30pm: Hudson-Odoi set for Chelsea stay
Callum Hudson-Odoi will stay at Chelsea this season, according to Sky Sports, amid uncertainty over his future at the club.
Chelsea have decided to not sanction a loan move to Borussia Dortmund on deadline day, ending talk of a potential departure.
Hudson-Odoi might be a part of Thomas Tuchel’s long-term plans, but is yet to start a Premier League game this season.
12.10pm: Edouard having Crystal Palace medical
Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard is set to complete a Premier League move on deadline day.
According to Sky Sports, Edouard is currently undergoing a medical ahead of a summer switch to Crystal Palace.
The Eagles have agreed an initial £14m fee with Celtic for the 23-year-old Frenchman, but it could potentially rise to £18.5m.
12pm: Arsenal agree £19.8m Tomiyasu fee
Arsenal have agreed a deal worth £19.8m (€23m) with Bologna for defender Takehiro Tomiyasu in a rapid deadline day development.
The Gunners have monitored Tomiyasu all summer, and he will now undergo a medical ahead of his move to the Emirates Stadium.
He will likely act as a replacement for Hector Bellerin, who is Real Betis-bound, with Ainsley Maitland-Niles’ future also up in the air.

11.30am: Brighton confirm Cucurella signing
Brighton have confirmed the £15.5m (€18m) signing of Getafe left-back Marc Cucurella on a five-year deal.
The 23-year-old Spaniard arrives at the Amex Stadium as Brighton’s second most expensive defender after Adam Webster.
Manager Graham Potter has said: “We have been keen to bring Marc to the club, and we are really pleased to finally welcome him here and are excited to begin working with him.
“He has had a fantastic education in the youth teams at Barcelona and he has gone onto make a real impression in La Liga and within the national set up.
“He is a versatile player, and he will add competition and options to the squad.”
11.15am: Tottenham ‘unlikely’ to move for duo before deadline
Tottenham Hotspur are unlikely to complete moves for Wolves duo Adama Traore and Ruben Neves on transfer deadline day.
According to football.london, moves for Traore and Neves have been deemed unlikely today, while Tottenham aren’t expected to sign a striker either.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s summer business looks set to be concluded with the arrival of Barcelona right-back Emerson Royal.
11am: Barcelona in advanced Cavani negotiations
Barcelona are in advanced talks with Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani over a potential deadline day move.
According to Gerard Romero, Barcelona are working with Man Utd to resolve the situation but it’s ‘not a simple operation.’
Cavani has given the La Liga his OK, but Man Utd don’t want to let him leave after extending his current deal until next summer.
10.45am: Maitland-Niles to have crunch talks with Arteta
Ainsley Maitland-Niles is planning to meet Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta at the club’s training ground this afternoon to request a move away.
According to David Ornstein, Maitland-Niles wants to meet Arteta to outline his desire to leave for Everton.
The Toffees have made a two-year loan offer with an option to buy, but Arsenal are yet to accept it.
After he publicly stated that he wanted to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer, the Gunners may be forced to offload him.
10.30am: Ndombele set for Spurs stay
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele looks set to stay at the club beyond tonight’s summer transfer deadline, despite a mutual desire to part ways.
According to Sky Sports, Ndombele will remain in north London, seemingly due to a lack of interest in his services.
Tottenham were willing to sell the Frenchman, but a suitable deal hasn’t been found in time for the window’s conclusion.
Ndombele is yet to feature under Nuno Espirito Santo but could enter his plans after the international break.
10.20am: Arsenal working on Tomiyasu deal
Arsenal have launched a last-ditch pursuit of Bologna defender Takehiro Tomiyasu after considering a move all summer.
According to David Ornstein, Arsenal are working on a deal to sign Tomiyasu and talks are underway.
But he reports that the 22-year-old’s arrival will depend on other movements, with Hector Bellerin’s future still uncertain.
Tomiyasu can play at centre-back and right-back and was heavily linked with Tottenham Hotspur before they signed Cristian Romero.
10.10am: Tottenham haven’t given up on £50m-rated Traore
Tottenham Hotspur are still vying for Adama Traore’s services, despite having loan approaches pushed back earlier in the summer.
According to Sky Sports, Tottenham are trying to sign Traore on deadline day but Wolves don’t want him to leave the club.
Wolves will only entertain offers north of £50m, due to the 25-year-old winger still having two years left on his deal.
10am: Arsenal freeze Ainsley Maitland-Niles out
Following his public plea to leave the club this summer, Ainsley Maitland-Niles has seemingly been punished by Arsenal.
According to John Cross, Arsenal have told Maitland-Niles he won’t be training with the first team if he stays beyond tonight’s transfer deadline.
The Gunners blocked his move to Everton, so Mikel Arteta’s harsh decision to drop him down to the reserves leaves much to be pondered.

9.50am: Henderson commits future to Liverpool
A pretty busy minute of action as at the same that Manchester United re-signed Cristiano Ronaldo, Liverpool announced that Jordan Henderson has committed his long-term future to the club.
Henderson has signed a new contract until 2025, spelling the end of speculation over his future at the club.
As part of his statement, he said: “To continue this journey is incredible for me and my family, and I hope the fans and the club feel the same way.”
9.45am: Solskjaer thrilled to welcome ‘marvellous’ Ronaldo
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is unsurprisingly delighted to add Cristiano Ronaldo to his squad.
He said: “You run out of words to describe Cristiano. He is not only a marvellous player, but also a great human being. To have the desire and the ability to play at the top level for such a long period requires a very special person.
“I have no doubt that he will continue to impress us all and his experience will be so vital for the younger players in the squad.

On his Manchester United return, Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed his excitement to play at Old Trafford again.
He said: “Manchester United is a club that has always had a special place in my heart, and I have been overwhelmed by all the messages I have received since the announcement on Friday.
“I cannot wait to play at Old Trafford in front of a full stadium and see all the fans again. I’m looking forward to joining up with the team after the international games, and I hope we have a very successful season ahead.”
9.35am: Man Utd confirm Ronaldo return
Manchester United have completed the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo on a two-year deal with the option of a further year.
Ronaldo has returned to Old Trafford from Juventus 12 years after departing in an £80m move to Real Madrid in 2009.
The 36-year-old is a five-time Ballon d’Or winner and has lifted over 30 major trophies throughout his decorated career so far.
9.30am: Emerson undergoing Tottenham medical in Barcelona
Emerson Royal is undergoing his Tottenham Hotspur medical in Barcelona ahead of a £25.8m (€30m) move to north London.
According to Sky Sports, the fee has been agreed between Barcelona and Tottenham, with personal terms also shaken on.
Emerson will bolster Nuno Espirito Santo’s defensive options further after a clean sheet in each of Spurs’ opening three Premier League games.
9.25am: Lookman travelling to Leicester ahead of loan
RB Leipzig winger Ademola Lookman is travelling to Leicester City to complete his Premier League return on deadline day.
According to Sky Sports, the Foxes will sign Lookman on a season-long loan with an option to buy.
Brendan Rodgers is looking to bolster his options on the wing after Lookman impressed on loan at Fulham last season.

Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves is in talks with Tottenham Hotspur ahead of a potential deadline day move.
According to Portuguese insider Pedro Almeida, Neves is negotiating a long-term contract with Tottenham to reunite with Nuno Espirito Santo.
Wolves want around £34.3m (€40m) for the Portugal international, with Manchester United also linked with an interest.
9.05am: West Ham confirm Vlasic signing
West Ham have completed the signing of CSKA Moscow attacking midfielder Nikola Vlasic on a five-year deal.
Vlasic, the 2020 Russian Premier League Footballer of the Year, has reportedly arrived at the London Stadium for a fee of around £25m.

Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin is set to complete a deadline day return to Spain, but not to Barcelona as previously reported.
According to football.london, Bellerin is a boyhood Real Betis fan and is on the verge of joining the club after his agents met with officials at their office.
The Spaniard has previously said: “My first shirt was Betis because my father was a fan of the Verdiblanco team. It was difficult for me to support another club.”
After not featuring in Arsenal’s first four games of the season, Bellerin looks set to depart before 11pm.
8.45am: Man Utd still open to offers for Lingard
Jesse Lingard is very likely to stay at Manchester United beyond tonight’s transfer deadline, but the club are still open to offers for his services.
According to Sky Sports, if an offer for Lingard arrived today, it will be discussed with the 28-year-old ahead of a collective decision on his future.
If he stays at Old Trafford, though, the Red Devils could enter contract extension talks to prevent him from leaving for free next summer.
West Ham have been ruled out after opting for CSKA Moscow’s Nikola Vlasic in a £25m deal.
8.30am: Leicester edging closer to Lookman deal
Leicester City are nearing an agreement with RB Leipzig to sign winger Ademola Lookman.
According to Sky Sports, no fee has been agreed yet, but the gap between the two clubs’ valuations is significantly smaller than it was 24 hours ago.
It is thought there is a race against time to complete the deal, but Lookman’s English nationality has made the logistics easier.
The move would bring the 23-year-old back to the Premier League after stints at Everton and Fulham.
8.15am: Kean leaves Everton for Juventus
Juventus have confirmed that Moise Kean has returned to the club on loan with an obligation to buy, two years after leaving Turin for Everton.
Kean rejoins Juventus on an initial two-year loan deal, with the transfer worth a total of £32.6m (€38m) including add-ons.
The 21-year-old scored just four goals in 39 appearances for Everton after joining from Juve in 2019.
He spent last season on loan at Paris Saint-Germain, where he scored 17 goals in 28 starts for the Parisiens.
8am: Bernardo Silva set for Man City stay
Manchester City aren’t expecting any further transfer business this summer, ruling out incomings and outgoings on deadline day.
According to The Times, it means Bernardo Silva will stay at the Etihad Stadium despite his future being uncertain in recent months.
AC Milan had submitted an offer for the 27-year-old in recent days, giving him the chance of regular football at the summit of Serie A.
But Bernardo turned down the move and now looks set to remain a part of Pep Guardiola’s squad.
7.50am: Juventus confirm Ronaldo departure
Juventus have confirmed Cristiano Ronaldo has left the club ahead of his move to Manchester United becoming official today.
The Serie A club has issued a lengthy statement to say goodbye to the 36-year-old after three years in Turin.
It ended: “Today that bond born on July 10, three years ago, has been dissolved, but what has been written will forever remain. It has been an incredible journey.”

7.45am: Emerson to Spurs could see Bellerin depart Arsenal
Emerson Royal’s impending move to Tottenham Hotspur could prompt Barcelona to target Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin as a replacement.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona will try to sign Bellerin once Emerson completes his move to north London.
The 26-year-old Spaniard’s Arsenal future has been unclear all summer and he is yet to play under Mikel Arteta this season.
Bellerin would likely be interested in a return to Spain, should Barcelona submit an offer before 11pm.

Leicester City have approached Chelsea over the prospect of signing Callum Hudson-Odoi on a permanent deal.
According to football.london, Leicester have enquired about Hudson-Odoi’s availability in the last 24 hours, with Brendan Rodgers keen to sign a new winger.
The FA Cup champions are also keen on RB Leipzig’s Ademola Lookman and talks are progressing with the Bundesliga club.
Hudson-Odoi has been an unused substitute in all three of Chelsea’s Premier League games so far, but Thomas Tuchel may not sanction his exit if a replacement doesn’t arrive.
7.15am: Traore hires Mendes to push through Spurs switch
Wolves forward Adama Traore has hired super agent Jorge Mendes to help negotiate a move to Tottenham Hotspur before tonight’s summer transfer deadline.
According to Football Insider, Traore is firmly on Tottenham’s radar in the closing hours of the window, with Nuno Espirito Santo interested in a reunion.
Mendes has signed a mandate even though he isn’t the 25-year-old’s representative, with Wolves willing to listen to permanent offers.

West Ham United won’t be making a last-ditch attempt to sign Manchester United attacker Jesse Lingard on deadline day.
According to reputable Man Utd insider Jonathan Shrager, Lingard won’t return to the Hammers ahead of tonight’s 11pm deadline.
The 28-year-old is ready to fight for his place in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad, despite the summer arrivals of Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo.

6.50am: Real Madrid walk away from Mbappe deal
Real Madrid won’t be signing Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe this summer after walking away from negotiations.
According to Kaveh Solhekol, PSG didn’t respond to Real’s final offer worth around £150m (€180m), prompting the La Liga giants to walk away.
Real will now wait until January to discuss signing Mbappe on a pre-contract agreement ahead of a free transfer next summer.
They are said to be ‘confident’ the French superstar will sign after a long-standing interest.
6.40am: Tottenham beat Arsenal in Emerson battle
Tottenham Hotspur have beaten Arsenal in the battle to sign Barcelona right-back Emerson Royal.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Spurs have agreed a £25.7m (€30m) deal for Emerson, who will join Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad on a five-year contract.
Kaveh Solhekol reports Arsenal wanted to sign the Brazilian star this summer, but he chose Spurs in a blow to Mikel Arteta.
The Gunners are still eyeing a new right-back with Hector Bellerin’s future uncertain and concerns over Cedric Soares’ overall quality.
6.30am: James closing in on £24m Leeds switch
Daniel James is nearing a £24m transfer from Manchester United to Leeds United, almost three years after he nearly joined the club on loan from Swansea City.
According to The Guardian, James will have his medical in Leeds this morning after agreeing personal terms on Monday.
The 23-year-old has started two of Man Utd’s three Premier League games this season, but his game time will be affected by the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.
United will be happy with almost doubling their money on James after paying Swansea £15m to sign him in 2019.
6.20am: Dalot departure rests on Man Utd replacement
Manchester United will only offload Diogo Dalot today if they can sign a replacement before the deadline, which is currently unlikely.
According to Sky Sports, Borussia Dortmund are confident of striking a deal for Dalot, but only if Man Utd can sign a replacement.
The Bundesliga giants are ready to secure Dalot’s services on loan with an obligation to buy, should United replace him before 11pm.
With the Red Devils unlikely to be active regarding incomings on deadline day, Dalot’s exit is all but off the cards.
6.10am: Sevilla frustrate Chelsea with Kounde demand
Sevilla are standing firm on their increased asking price for Jules Kounde, frustrating Chelsea as the summer deadline closes in.
According to The Athletic, Chelsea had a ‘verbal agreement’ with Sevilla for the highly-rated 22-year-old defender.
But the La Liga outfit suddenly increased their demand by £12.8million (€15m), ‘halting’ Thomas Tuchel’s hopes of a deal.
Chelsea’s interest in Kounde will likely go down to the wire today, but Tuchel is said to be happy with his current options.
