Sunrise host James Tobin regularly puts himself in awkward situations while presenting the weather on Channel Seven’s breakfast show.

But on Tuesday, the 40-year-old bit off more than he could chew when he compared muscles with Sydney powerlifter Chris Kavvalos.

James introduced the bodybuilder then cheekily asked about his lifting regimen.

‘Do you even lift, bro?’ James asked a shirtless Chris, who is a four-time Mr Australia champion.

‘Just a little bit, just a little bit,’ he replied.

As interview went on, James explained Chris was training for the Arnold Classic, which is scheduled for the next six weeks.

Arrgh: 'This is not ok,' James laughed during the segment. Chris then carried him through the gym before being sat down on the gym floor

‘I will train up to three times a day,’ Chris said, adding that he does some lighter weight work in the morning followed by cardio.

‘I got home, eat, train, sleep, come back to the gym and lift real heavy weights,’ he added.

The live segment then took an unexpected turn when James encouraged Chris to strike a series of muscle poses.

Chris showed off the front-double-bicep pose and the side-chest pose, then suddenly picked James up and carried him around the gym.

‘This is not okay,’ James laughed, before being placed down on the floor.

Later, James shared several photos to Instagram of himself and Chris posing at City Gym, with the TV host’s arms looking less impressive by comparison.
