New York officials are preparing to auction off a $525 pair of LeBron James sneakers after they were among 188 pairs of high-end kicks that were seized from a 2017 drug raid on Long Island.

According to a statement, the sneakers and ’14 pieces of sports memorabilia will be added to the list of furniture, file cabinets, computer equipment, tools, and other government surplus items usually sold by New York State on eBay’. 

Among the sneakers being sold are Nike Air Jordans and LeBron James. A 2015 pair of the LeBron 12 EXT Prism, also known as the ‘Finish Your Breakfast’ are being auctioned on the site. 

The shoes retail for about $525 for a size 8.5. The Prism emerged as something of a tribute to streetball legend John Strickland when they came out during the summer of 2015.

The Shooting Stars were originally believed to be a player exclusive for Penny Hardaway and were released in 2014. 

A pair of Air Jordan 8 Retro sneakers have already sold on the state’s eBay site for $270.75 while a pair of Air Jordan 7 Retro sneakers were sold for $158.27. 

Another pair of Air Jordan 13 Retro sneakers were sold for $195. 

A pair of Air Jordan 1 Retro ’94 sneakers started bidding at $525, but the bidding for the item ended in early January with no bids. 

‘Upper Deck-authenticated Michael Jordan jerseys from the Bulls and the University of North Carolina,’ are also being sold, according to the state. The memorabilia comes with verified certificates of authenticity.

TOP FIVE SHOES SOLD/EXPECTED TO SELL

A Spalding NBA basketball signed by Jordan is bidding at $630 on eBay with two days left.  

State officials said they also have items for fans of Stephon Marbury, Jason Kidd, Alex Rodriguez, Derek Jeter, Joe Torre, Scott Eyre, Mike Schmidt, Mark McGwire, and Vinny Testaverde.

New items will be posted each week, according to the state’s website. 

All of the items were seized in 2017 when police executed four search warrants in Suffolk County as part of a drug investigation into Richard Figueroa, 46, and his wife Joann, 51.

The couple allegedly sold cocaine from their home and auto repair shop in Bohemia. 

Police also seized crack, cocaine, Oxycodone, Xanax and marijuana from the Figueroa home. 

More than $60,000 in cash was also seized from the home, police said. 

In addition to the Figueroas, four other people were also arrested. 

Richard Figueroa was hit with multiple charges, including first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.

Joann Figueroa was charged with first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.
