Jeep left out Michigan’s Upper Peninsula during its Super Bowl commercial Sunday.
After listening to Bruce Springsteen tell the nation to meet in the middle while at a chapel in Kansas located in the middle of the lower 48 states, Lower Peninsula Michiganders watched as the map of the “ReUnited States” left out their northern brothers.
“The middle has been a hard place to get to lately, between red and blue, between servant and citizen, between our freedom and fear,” The Boss narrates. “We just have to remember the very soil we stand on is common ground.”
Apparently that doesn’t include the soil of the Upper Peninsula?
And this is far from the first time the U.P. has been snubbed. Google forgot it, Mountain Dew gave it to Wisconsin and Saturday Night Live left it in the dust.
