An Indiana man charged in the death of his 18-month-old granddaughter after she fell 150 feet from a cruise ship in Puerto Rico will not serve time in jail.

Salvatore “Sam” Anello, 51, who pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide in October in the 2019 death of Chloe Wiegand, was sentenced to three years of probation Monday by a judge in San Juan.
